I ended up using a trainer for some sections, because I just didn't care to bother fighting poor controls and lag all the time to hit my shots and kill my enemies. Combined with the laggy performance, combat in this game was just some of the worst TPS combat I have played outside of buggy indie games. Camera and aiming controls with the mouse are abysmal and made the already pretty weak combat even worse. Mouse controls felt really off, this game was obviously designed with a controller and auto-aim in mind. Unlike some people (seems to be the biggest complaint in Steam reviews) I had no problem streaming the videos, they looked really high-def and played with no lag (unlike the actual game) and I really enjoyed them tbh.Īnother technical aspect that was really poor are the controls. The game was a laggy mess on my system, which made the combat an actual pain to play. The game is almost 5 years old now and while my hardware is more upper middle-class than high-end now, it would have been pretty close to high-end when the game came out (i9-9900k, GTX 1070 Ti, 16GB RAM), yet I can't even hit remotely close to stable 60 FPS at 1080p. Let's start with the technical stuff: it is one of the most poorly optimized games I have ever played. I started with Quantum Break and honestly it was pretty disappointing. So, some time ago I made a post about how much I loved Alan Wake and that I was gonna play Quantum Break and Control because of it.
